What is digital signage?

Digital Signage is a network of digital, electronic displays that are centrally managed and individually addressable for display of text, animated or video messages for advertising, information, and entertainment to targeted audiences.

Each screen/billboard can be updated without the cost and expense of changing the physical sign itself. Thus, changes can be made quickly and cost effectively, and targeted messages can be distributed to hundreds or thousands of displays at once.
